Declaration of " Campaign in defence of political refugees' hunger strike in Van - Turkey 

   A group of political refugees in the city of Van (Turkey) have announced that they go on a hunger strike since Tuesday ۲۹.۰۳.۲۰۱۱ in front of the office of United Nations High Commissioner 

for Refugees (UNHCR) in Van- Turkey. 

   UNHCR have accepted them as refugees years ago, but in spite of this, UNHCR have not done the process of their resettlement to a third peaceful country so far. This problem has created a lot of economic, security and psychological difficulties and troubles for these political refugees.

   The Campaign in defence of political refugees' hunger strike in Van-Turkey tries to make their voices heard by the authorities of UNHCR and refugee-receiver countries by drumming up support from organizations and individuals who defend refugee rights and spreading and reflecting the news of this hunger strike. 

   The Campaign in defence of political refugees' hunger strike in Van-Turkey appeals to the refugee rights organizations and all of the human rights activists to help and support these political refugees by sending letters of objection to the office of UNHCR in turkey and demand them to accelerate the process of their transference to a third country immediately.
